Role Description The Fire Alarm role at POWERCONZ PRIVATE LIMITED is a full-time, on-site position based in Chennai. This role involves installing, configuring, testing, and maintaining fire alarm and detection systems in accordance with relevant standards and client requirements. The professional will conduct routine inspections of fire alarm panels, detectors, flow switches, and related components to ensure proper functioning and integration with fire protection and suppression systems. Responsibilities include diagnosing system issues, performing repairs, coordinating with project and safety teams, and documenting all maintenance and service activities. The role also requires supporting commissioning of new fire safety installations, training site personnel on system use, and maintaining compliance with local fire and life safety regulations.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong knowledge of Fire Prevention and Life Safety practices.
Candidates should possess practical expertise in Fire Protection and Fire Safety systems.
Candidates should possess hands-on experience with Fire Suppression Systems and related control devices.
Diploma or degree in engineering, fire and safety, or a related technical field is preferred.
Experience in installation, testing, and maintenance of fire alarm and detection systems in industrial or commercial settings.
Familiarity with applicable fire codes, standards, and best practices, along with basic electrical and low-voltage knowledge.
Ability to read technical drawings, follow safety procedures, work on-site, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
Relevant certifications in fire and safety, fire alarm systems, or related disciplines will be an added advantage.
