Coordinate monthly, quarterly, and year-end intercompany close activities in accordance with the financial reporting calendar.
Establish and maintain reconciliation schedules, deadlines, reporting templates, and follow-up trackers for intercompany accounts.
Monitor reconciliation completion and escalate overdue submissions, unresolved differences, and material discrepancies to Finance management.
Review intercompany transaction listings and compare counterpart records to identify missing, duplicated, incorrectly posted, or unmatched transactions.
Investigate differences arising from timing, exchange rates, incomplete invoices, credit notes, payment allocations, manual journal entries, and system interfaces.
Coordinate with entity accountants and finance teams to correct accounting errors and ensure that adjustments are approved and properly documented.
Maintain a detailed register of reconciliation differences, including root causes, responsible parties, action owners, resolution dates, and outstanding status.
Analyze aged intercompany items and develop remediation plans for long-outstanding balances.
Follow up with counterpart entities to obtain confirmations, supporting schedules, transaction details, and settlement information.
Ensure that intercompany balances are supported by appropriate invoices, agreements, statements, allocation schedules, journal entries, and other relevant evidence.
Coordinate intercompany confirmations and balance validation exercises in preparation for month-end, quarter-end, year-end, and external audits.
Support the preparation and review of intercompany account confirmations and investigate confirmation differences.
Coordinate intercompany settlement activities with Treasury and relevant entity finance teams.
Monitor settlement status, payment schedules, cash requirements, and outstanding obligations between entities.
Support intercompany netting arrangements where approved, ensuring that transactions are properly validated, authorized, and recorded.
Work with Treasury to identify settlement opportunities, cash flow implications, and potential foreign exchange exposures arising from intercompany balances.
Track intercompany loans, advances, interest charges, repayments, and related supporting documentation where applicable.
Verify that intercompany interest calculations and related entries are consistent with approved agreements and accounting policies.
Coordinate with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams to resolve differences involving intercompany invoices, credit notes, payment postings, and customer or supplier account allocations.

Support the preparation of intercompany cost allocation schedules and ensure that allocation bases are consistently applied and documented.
Identify transactions that may require additional review due to unusual values, inconsistent descriptions, nonstandard terms, or potential accounting or tax implications.
Coordinate with Tax, Legal, and Transfer Pricing specialists, where applicable, to ensure that relevant intercompany documentation and transaction information are available.
Support the review of intercompany pricing arrangements and ensure that accounting records align with approved agreements and applicable policies.
