Role Description The Health Agency Sales Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Hyderabad, responsible for driving health insurance business through the agency channel. This role involves recruiting, onboarding, and mentoring agency partners and advisors, setting sales targets, and monitoring performance to achieve revenue and growth objectives. The manager will regularly meet agency partners, conduct training on health insurance products and compliance requirements, and support them with sales strategies and tools. Daily activities include reviewing sales pipelines, analyzing market opportunities, coordinating with underwriting and operations teams for smooth policy issuance, and resolving partner and customer issues promptly. The role also includes preparing reports for leadership, implementing regional sales initiatives, and maintaining strong relationships that align with the company’s customer‑centric and innovation‑driven culture.
Qualifications
Proven experience in health or general insurance sales, preferably in the agency or distribution channel, with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
Strong skills in business development, relationship management, and stakeholder engagement to build and sustain a high-performing agency network.
Capability in team leadership, coaching, and performance management to guide agency partners and advisors toward consistent sales productivity.
Solid understanding of health insurance products, regulatory guidelines, and customer service practices within the Indian insurance market.
Ability to analyze sales data, forecast business, and develop territory-level strategies for growth in a competitive environment.
Effective communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with proficiency in MS Office tools and basic digital platforms used in insurance sales.
Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, marketing, or a related field; an MBA or relevant professional certification in insurance is an advantage.
Comfort working on-site in Hyderabad, with readiness to travel within the region to meet agency partners and key customers as needed.
