About The Role
As a Staff AI Engineer at Data Idols, you will play a pivotal role in leading a dedicated engineering squad focused on developing and scaling advanced AI solutions. This is a strategic yet hands-on role that combines technical leadership, AI engineering expertise, and team mentorship. You will be responsible for shaping the technical direction of AI initiatives, designing scalable and secure AI products, and ensuring the deployment of solutions that deliver measurable business value. The role offers an exciting opportunity to work on emerging AI technologies such as generative AI, machine learning, and data engineering, directly influencing the company's AI roadmap and broader organizational AI strategy.
Qualifications
Proven experience in delivering Data, AI, Machine Learning, and Generative AI solutions in a commercial environment.
Hands-on expertise with Databricks platform for data processing and AI development.
Strong familiarity with Microsoft Foundry and the Azure ecosystem, including services like Azure Machine Learning, Azure Data Factory, and Azure Storage.
Experience in leading and mentoring AI or engineering teams, fostering a collaborative and innovative team environment.
Demonstrated ability to design and deliver scalable, production-ready AI solutions that meet security and governance standards.
Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Responsibilities
Lead the design, development, and deployment of AI, Machine Learning, and Generative AI solutions, ensuring they are scalable, secure, and aligned with organizational goals.
Take ownership of the technical strategy for AI initiatives, including defining best practices, standards, and governance frameworks.
Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to identify high-value AI use cases and translate them into technical solutions.
Rapidly prototype new AI concepts and take successful prototypes through to production, ensuring robustness and operational efficiency.
Mentor and guide a team of AI engineers, fostering technical excellence and continuous improvement.
Ensure all AI solutions adhere to responsible AI principles, including fairness, transparency, and ethical considerations.
Stay abreast of emerging AI technologies and industry trends, integrating relevant innovations into the company's AI capabilities.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of AI solutions into existing systems and workflows.
