## About the Role
We are looking for a motivated and technically curious **Junior Security Automation Analyst** to support the development and maintenance of automated cybersecurity workflows.
In this role, you will help automate routine security tasks, organize security data, improve reporting processes, and assist with integrating tools used by security operations teams. This position is ideal for an early-career IT professional interested in combining cybersecurity, scripting, and process improvement.
Training and mentorship will be provided to help you develop your technical skills and gain practical experience in security automation.
## Key Responsibilities
* Assist with automating routine cybersecurity tasks and reporting workflows.
* Develop and maintain basic scripts for security data processing and analysis.
* Support the collection, normalization, and organization of security logs.
* Help automate repetitive alert-handling and administrative processes.
* Assist with testing and documenting security automation workflows.
* Support integrations between security tools and approved data sources.
* Help identify opportunities to reduce manual work in security operations.
* Maintain clear technical documentation for scripts and automated processes.
* Collaborate with security analysts and IT teams to improve operational efficiency.
* Follow secure coding practices and organizational change-management procedures.

## Requirements
* Diploma or bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline; equivalent practical skills may be considered.
* Basic understanding of cybersecurity fundamentals and common security operations tasks.
* Introductory scripting knowledge in Python, PowerShell, or a similar language.
* Familiarity with structured data formats such as JSON or CSV is an advantage.
* Basic understanding of APIs, networking, and system logs.
* Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
* Good documentation and communication skills.
* Willingness to learn new tools, automation techniques, and security processes.
