IT Systems Administrator

Role Description The IT Systems Administrator role is a part-time remote position responsible for maintaining, monitoring, and supporting the organization’s technology infrastructure. Day-to-day tasks include managing servers and applications, overseeing user accounts and permissions, and ensuring system security and reliability. The role involves providing technical support to staff, diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and connectivity issues, and coordinating with other IT stakeholders to implement improvements. The IT Systems Administrator will document configurations and procedures, perform routine backups and updates, and help optimize systems to support Lead with CPS programs and online platforms.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess skills in System Administration and Information Technology to manage servers, applications, and user environments.
Candidates should possess skills in Network Administration to support connectivity, performance, and security across remote systems.
Candidates should possess skills in Technical Support and Troubleshooting to assist users, resolve issues, and maintain stable operations.
Strong understanding of security best practices, backups, and patch management in educational or public sector environments is beneficial.
Experience with cloud-based services, remote collaboration tools, and ticketing systems is preferred.
Effective communication skills, ability to work independently in a remote setting, and strong organizational skills are required.
Relevant certification (e.g., CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Server+, Microsoft or similar) or equivalent practical experience is an advantage.
