HumanitApp is sharing a Mercor opportunity for experienced cloud engineers to review AWS serverless tasks used in AI training and evaluation. The engagement is with the provider, not employment by HumanitApp.
Responsibilities
- Audit cloud tasks against clear evaluation rubrics and provide specific written feedback.
- Review event-driven architecture, IAM boundaries, failure handling and retry behavior.
- Assess infrastructure-as-code and the fidelity of LocalStack versus real AWS testing.
Requirements
- At least three years of hands-on experience building multi-service AWS serverless systems.
- Practical knowledge of Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, EventBridge, SNS/SQS and Step Functions.
- Experience with AWS CDK, CloudFormation or SAM.
- Strong technical review skills and clear written communication.
AWS certifications and experience in observability, cost optimization or technical task evaluation are useful additions.
Engagement
Remote independent-contractor work for United States-based candidates. The provider lists $70-$90 per hour, with weekly payments for services rendered. Guaranteed weekly hours and a fixed project duration are not stated; projects may change or conclude early. The provider currently does not support H1-B or STEM OPT candidates.
