The Opportunity
The Regional Director, Africa will lead Emerge's launch and growth in Africa, beginning with our first women's leadership event in 2027. Reporting directly to Joycelyn James, Founder and CEO, you will build partnerships, shape our programs for African audiences, and represent the Emerge brand across the region.
What You Will Do
Partnerships and Market Entry
• Identify, vet, and engage women's organizations, professional associations, universities, and corporate partners in Africa.
• Lead partnership conversations and recommend partners to the CEO for approval
• Research and prioritize entry into Ghana, South Africa, and Egypt following the Kenya launch
Africa Event in 2027
• Co-lead planning for Emerge's Africa event with the CEO
• Recommend venues, vendors, speakers, and local sponsors, and manage local logistics
• Promote the event through regional networks and track registrations
Brand and Leadership
• Represent Emerge Global Solutions LLC at regional events, panels, and media opportunities
• Report monthly on progress, pipeline, and lessons learned
• Contribute to Emerge's strategic planning as a member of the leadership team
What You Bring
• 15+ years of leadership experience in human resources, organizational development, or a related field
• An established network of women's organizations and professional associations across Africa
• Experience working across multiple African countries and cultures
• Coaching, mentoring, or facilitation experience; a recognized coaching or mentoring certification is preferred
• Strong relationship-building, negotiation, and presentation skills
• Fluency in English; Swahili strongly preferred
• A passion for Emerge's mission of elevating women leaders
