As an executive leader joining our founding team, we expect our Chief Technology Officer to uphold the highest standards of accountability, execution, and strategy:
Executive Governance: Strictly follow and honor our established C-suite chain of command—reporting directly to the Founder & CEO, Co-CEO, and Executive Board, while working in lockstep with our Chief Product Officer (CPO).
Hands-On Execution: Balance high-level system architecture with the ability to perform hands-on software development, application updates, and website optimizations.
Proactive Ownership: Identify technical gaps, build proprietary IP, optimize site performance, and eliminate security risks autonomously.
Sweat-Equity Commitment: Dedicate 10–20 flexible hours per week under a sweat-equity model during Phase 1, building enterprise value toward our $1M+ funding milestone.
Security & IP Integrity: Maintain absolute confidentiality and zero-leak protocols around company source code, user data, and proprietary innovations.
ROLE SUMMARY
As Chief Technology Officer (CTO) / Technical Co-Founder, you will take total ownership of our end-to-end technology infrastructure. Working in tight synergy with our Chief Product Officer (CPO), you will translate product requirements and wireframes into high-performance, scalable code.
You will direct the technical transformation of our current web domain, oversee ongoing software and mobile app updates, architect proprietary IP that establishes our competitive moat, build zero-trust cybersecurity frameworks to guarantee zero data leaks, and collaborate with our PR Lead on public technical announcements.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES1. Software, App & Web Management
Oversee hands-on maintenance, hosting environments, and codebase management for all web and mobile platforms.
Execute regular front-end and back-end updates, app release cycles, bug fixes, and continuous speed and performance optimizations.
Architect and implement full-scale, high-performance interactive website animations across our web domain using modern animation tools (e.g., GSAP, Three.js, WebGL, Framer Motion) without compromising security or load times.
2. Intellectual Property (IP) Architecture
Design, document, and build proprietary software frameworks, custom algorithms, and system architectures that form a defensible IP moat.
Ensure all code base, system logic, and technical documentation are structured for patent protection and maximum corporate valuation prior to investor diligence.
3. Enterprise Cybersecurity & Zero-Leak Protection
Establish and enforce strict cybersecurity standards, encrypted repositories, and access controls to guarantee zero data or IP leaks across internal team members and third-party tools.
Implement continuous threat monitoring, zero-trust protocols, and secure deployment pipelines.
4. C-Suite Collaboration & Executive Leadership
CPO Collaboration: Synchronize product roadmaps, features, and technical builds directly with the Chief Product Officer to meet release schedules.
Executive Board Reporting: Provide regular technical progress reports, risk evaluations, and roadmap updates to the Founder & CEO, Co-CEO, and Board.
PR Support: Partner with the PR Lead to articulate complex technical innovations into compelling public narratives, press releases, and investor materials.
COMPENSATION & PROGRESSION STRUCTURE
To align long-term incentives, this position follows a structured three-phase growth path:
Phase 1: Foundational Equity Phase (Current / Pre-Funding)
Commitment: Part-Time (10–20 hours/week).
Compensation: 100% Executive Sweat Equity / Ownership Stake.
Milestones: Build core technology, engineer proprietary IP, deliver web animations/app updates, fortify security, and support investor readiness.
Phase 2: Funding Milestone Phase ($1M+ Raised)
Trigger: Closing $1,000,000 or more in institutional seed/venture funding.
Compensation: Guaranteed Monthly Retainer / Paid Budget (transitioning toward full-time capacity as agreed upon by leadership).
Milestones: Scale system infrastructure, expand development resources, and execute platform expansion.
Phase 3: Commercial Profitability Phase (Revenue Scaling)
Trigger: Reaching net commercial profitability and recurring user revenue.
Compensation: Full Executive Salary + Performance & Revenue-Share Bonuses + C-Suite Benefits.
Milestones: Long-term market dominance, team expansion, board participation, and IP portfolio growth.
CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS
Location & Eligibility: Must reside in the United States with full legal authorization to hold equity in a US corporate entity.
Professional Experience: 7+ years of software engineering experience with leadership capability (CTO, Technical Co-Founder, VP of Engineering, or Lead Architect).
Technical Stack Mastery: Deep proficiency in full-stack web and mobile development, cloud infrastructure, and advanced interactive web animation frameworks.
Cybersecurity Standards: Demonstrated history of implementing enterprise-grade security protocols, repository access governance, and leak-prevention systems.
Entrepreneurial Mindset: Personal bandwidth and financial flexibility to dedicate part-time hours for equity during Phase 1.
