About the Company
KC India Test Laboratories LLP is a NABL-accredited and BIS-recognized testing laboratory specializing in electrical product testing, quality assurance, technical inspection and testing services for the power and infrastructure sectors.
We are seeking a highly skilled HTLS (High Temperature Low Sag) Conductor Testing Engineer with proven technical experience in testing overhead transmission line conductors.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform electrical, mechanical and thermal testing of HTLS conductors in accordance with applicable national and international standards.
* Conduct type tests and other applicable qualification tests on HTLS conductors.
* Perform tensile strength, stress-strain, creep, electrical resistance, thermal ageing and thermal cycling tests.
* Conduct high-temperature mechanical performance and sag-tension evaluation.
* Handle testing of ACCC, ACSS, GAP-type and other advanced HTLS conductor technologies.
* Operate, troubleshoot and maintain conductor testing equipment and instruments.
* Analyze test results, identify abnormalities and prepare accurate technical reports.
* Develop and implement testing procedures, standard operating procedures (SOPs) and quality documentation.
* Ensure compliance with ISO/IEC 17025:2017 and applicable NABL requirements.
* Coordinate with customers, inspection agencies and laboratory technical teams.
Educational Qualifications
* B.Tech / M.Tech in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Materials Engineering.
* M.Tech specialization in Power Systems, High Voltage Engineering or related fields will be preferred.
* Strong technical understanding of conductor materials, mechanical properties and thermal performance.
Experience Requirements
* Minimum 3 years of relevant experience, preferably 3–5 years, in HTLS conductor testing or transmission line conductor testing.
* Demonstrated hands-on experience with HTLS conductor type testing.
* Experience in stress-strain, creep, tensile strength, thermal cycling and conductor performance testing.
* Practical knowledge of conductor testing methodologies and testing equipment.
* Understanding of IS, IEC, ASTM and other applicable international standards.
* Experience in laboratory testing operations, result interpretation and technical documentation.
* Experience working in a NABL-accredited or ISO/IEC 17025-compliant laboratory will be preferred.
