About The Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Data Platform QA Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role is integral to ensuring the quality and reliability of our data pipelines and machine learning models. As part of the Data Platform QA team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and executing automated testing strategies to validate data integrity, performance, and security. You will collaborate closely with Data Engineers, ML Engineers, Data Scientists, and DevOps professionals to identify potential risks early in the development lifecycle, develop comprehensive testing plans, and ensure that all outputs meet the highest standards of quality. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience in automated testing within data engineering, data science, or ML environments.
Strong knowledge of SQL, Python, and testing frameworks such as pytest, unittest, or similar tools.
Experience with data pipeline orchestration tools like Apache Airflow, Prefect, or similar.
Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
Understanding of data security, privacy practices, and compliance standards.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently in a remote setting and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites for data pipelines and machine learning models to ensure data quality and integrity.
Collaborate with Data Engineers, ML Engineers, and Data Scientists to understand data workflows and identify potential risks and vulnerabilities.
Implement testing strategies that cover functional, performance, security, and regression testing aspects.
Monitor and analyze test results, troubleshoot issues, and work with teams to resolve defects promptly.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes, tools, and best practices.
Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to promote quality standards across the team.
Document testing procedures, results, and recommendations to facilitate transparency and knowledge sharing.
Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies relevant to data quality assurance and automation.
