Role Description The Vice President Information Technology is a full-time remote role responsible for leading the overall technology vision, strategy, and execution across the organization. This position oversees IT operations, infrastructure, applications, cybersecurity, and data management, ensuring stable, secure, and efficient systems. Day-to-day responsibilities include directing IT teams, prioritizing and managing technology projects, aligning IT initiatives with business objectives, and establishing standards, policies, and best practices. The role collaborates with executive leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to support strategic planning, digital transformation, and process optimization. The Vice President also manages budgets and vendor relationships, evaluates emerging technologies, mitigates risk, and fosters a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the IT function.
Qualifications
Demonstrated expertise in Information Technology, including core infrastructure, applications, security, and data systems.
Proven experience in IT Management, leading diverse technical teams and overseeing day-to-day operations and service delivery.
Strong IT Strategy and Strategic Planning skills, with a track record of aligning technology initiatives to organizational goals.
Effective Project Management capabilities, including overseeing complex, cross-functional technology projects from planning through implementation.
Experience in executive leadership roles, with the ability to influence and collaborate with senior stakeholders and non-technical partners.
Excellent communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into business terms.
Background in budgeting, vendor management, and governance for IT programs and services.
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, ITIL, CISSP, CISM) are beneficial.
Experience with cloud platforms, cybersecurity frameworks, digital transformation, and data analytics initiatives is highly preferred.
