About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Chief Innovation Officer (CINO) to lead corporate innovation strategy, emerging technology initiatives, business transformation, and long-term organizational growth.
The ideal candidate will bring extensive executive leadership experience, strong strategic vision, and a proven ability to identify new business opportunities, develop innovative solutions, and turn strategic ideas into measurable business results.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement company-wide innovation strategies aligned with business objectives.
Identify emerging technologies, industry trends, and new market opportunities.
Lead innovation programs, research initiatives, and new business development projects.
Evaluate new products, services, technologies, and business models for commercial potential.
Establish innovation priorities, development roadmaps, and performance indicators.
Collaborate with executive leadership, product, technology, finance, and operations teams.
Oversee innovation budgets, resource allocation, and project execution.
Build strategic partnerships with technology companies, research institutions, and industry organizations.
Promote a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and creative problem-solving.
Assess business risks, investment opportunities, and potential returns on innovation initiatives.
Recruit, mentor, and lead high-performing innovation and development teams.
Present innovation strategies, project results, and growth recommendations to executive leadership and the board of directors.
Background and Experience
At least 15 years of experience in innovation management, technology strategy, business transformation, or executive leadership.
Previous senior leadership experience as a Chief Innovation Officer, Chief Technology Officer, Vice President of Innovation, or comparable executive.
Proven experience developing and executing innovation strategies that drive organizational growth.
Strong knowledge of emerging technologies, digital transformation, product development, and strategic planning.
Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing complex innovation projects.
Strong understanding of business model development, commercialization, and investment evaluation.
Excellent leadership, analytical, communication, and strategic decision-making skills.
Ability to manage geographically distributed teams in a remote working environment.
Experience within startups, technology companies, or innovation-driven organizations is preferred.
A bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is required.
An MBA or relevant advanced degree is preferred.
