About the role
Description supplied by the original job listing.
## About the Role
You will own a book of named accounts and grow revenue from each one: more kits, more instruments, more workflows. You will sell and expand Manta, Beluga and Orca across hospital labs, diagnostic labs and research institutes. You report to the Co-Founder and Chief Sales & Marketing Officer.
## Key Responsibilities
- Own and grow your accounts
- Build an account plan for each lab: current workflows, sample volumes, decision makers, budget cycles and the next expansion opportunity.
- Drive reagent and consumable pull-through on every installed Manta, Beluga and Orca. Track run volumes and act early when usage drops.
- Expand each account from extraction (Manta, Beluga) into library prep automation (Orca) and sample-to-report workflows, and into new sites within multi-site groups.
- Own renewals: kit supply contracts, AMCs and warranty extensions.
- Be the customer's single point of contact
- Run quarterly business reviews with lab heads and procurement on volumes, cost per reportable test, uptime and open issues.
- Coordinate Field Application Scientists and Field Service Engineers for installs, validations, troubleshooting and training. Raise and follow tickets on the FAS/FSE desk until closed.
- Manage escalations calmly and early, before they become trust problems.
- Run the commercial process
- Prepare quotations, pro-formas and bundle proposals, and negotiate pricing within approved limits.
- Collect advances and payments to company terms. Work with procurement on tenders, single-source and proprietary article certificates where needed.
- Keep pipeline, forecasts and account activity up to date in Odoo CRM, every week.
- Feed the company
- Bring back what customers want next: new assays, input volumes, panels and integrations. Product and R&D teams build from this.
- Turn happy accounts into references, case studies and joint publications with marketing.
## Requirements
- 2 to 4 years selling or managing accounts in life science tools, NGS, molecular diagnostics or lab automation in India.
- A degree in life sciences, biotechnology or a related field. You can talk extraction chemistry, library prep and NGS workflows with a lab scientist.
- A record of growing revenue inside existing accounts, not only winning new ones. Bring numbers.
- Relationships with genomics labs, hospital molecular labs, diagnostic chains or research institutes in your region.
- Comfort with long, multi-stakeholder deals: lab head, clinical lead, procurement and finance.
- Disciplined with CRM, forecasts and follow-through.
- Willing and able to travel at least 20 days a month, including tier 2 cities.
## Preferred Qualifications
- Experience at a company like Thermo Fisher, Illumina, MGI, Qiagen, Revvity, Roche or a strong Indian distributor.
- Hands-on bench experience in a molecular or NGS lab.
- Experience with government or institutional tenders (GeM, ICMR, AIIMS).
- Exposure to NIPT, oncology NGS or infectious disease workflows.
## What We Offer
Competitive fixed pay plus an uncapped incentive tied to account revenue growth. Direct line to the founders, and a seat in building the commercial team as we scale toward INR 100 crore. Products built and manufactured in India, used by the country's largest genomics labs.
