Role Description The Back End Developer Intern role at ZOLDO is a full-time, fully remote position focused on supporting the design, development, and maintenance of server-side applications and APIs. Day-to-day responsibilities include implementing backend logic, integrating databases and third-party services, and ensuring application performance, reliability, and security. The intern will collaborate with senior developers and cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues, review code, and contribute to technical documentation. This role also involves learning and applying best practices in software architecture, testing, and deployment while participating in agile workflows such as stand-ups and code reviews. The position is designed to provide practical exposure to production-grade systems and modern development tools in a supportive, learning-oriented environment.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess skills in Back-End Web Development and Software Development, including working with server-side frameworks, APIs, and databases.
Candidates should possess skills in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and general Programming, with a solid grasp of core concepts such as classes, data structures, and algorithms.
Candidates should possess skills in Front-End Development sufficient to integrate and test backend services with user interfaces when required.
Foundational knowledge of web technologies (HTTP, REST, JSON), version control systems (e.g., Git), and basic debugging and testing practices is beneficial.
Enrollment in or completion of a degree or recognized program in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
Ability to work independently in a remote setup, collaborate effectively within distributed teams, communicate clearly, and demonstrate a strong willingness to learn new tools and frameworks.
Exposure to cloud platforms, relational or NoSQL databases, and security best practices for web applications is an added advantage.
