DIGITAL PRODUCT DESIGNER

Digital Product Designer – UVAVEC
Location: Sri Lanka (mostly remote, with occasional in-person meetings)
UVAVEC is looking for a Digital Product Designer who can turn business problems, rough prototypes, and complex workflows into practical, user-friendly digital products. This role goes beyond designing attractive screens — it requires strong UX thinking, problem-solving, and collaboration with developers.
Key Responsibilities
Understand user needs and simplify complex workflows.
Improve prototypes and create high-quality UI designs, interactions, and responsive layouts.
Build reusable components and design systems.
Collaborate with developers and product leadership.
Test user journeys and ensure designs work well during implementation.
Consider edge cases, accessibility, mobile responsiveness, and real-world usability.
Requirements
Strong UI/UX fundamentals and experience designing real digital products.
Strong Figma, prototyping, information architecture, and interaction-design skills.
Knowledge of responsive design and design systems.
HTML/CSS knowledge; React familiarity is an advantage.
Ability to work independently, explain design decisions, and collaborate with developers.
Typically 2+ years of relevant experience, supported by a strong portfolio. Relevant qualifications are preferred, but practical experience is also accepted.
AI-Assisted Design: Experience using AI tools to support research, prototyping, design exploration, and development is valued.
