IT Systems Administrator

Role Description The IT Systems Administrator at ACTIVE Gestion is a part-time, remote role responsible for maintaining and supporting the organization’s technology infrastructure. Day-to-day tasks include managing servers and user accounts, monitoring system performance, and applying updates and patches to ensure stability and security. The role involves providing remote technical support to team members, diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and connectivity issues, and documenting procedures and resolutions. The IT Systems Administrator will collaborate with other stakeholders to improve system reliability, implement best practices, and support ongoing IT projects and initiatives.
Qualifications
Strong System Administration skills, including managing operating systems, user permissions, backups, and security configurations.
Proficiency in Network Administration, covering routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and basic network performance monitoring.
Experience providing Technical Support, with a focus on remote assistance, incident tracking, and user training.
Advanced Troubleshooting capabilities to analyze and resolve hardware, software, and network issues efficiently.
Solid foundation in Information Technology principles, including cybersecurity awareness and IT best practices.
Comfort working independently in a remote environment, with strong time management and organizational skills.
Effective written and verbal communication skills for clear documentation and user interaction.
Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft or Linux certifications) or equivalent practical experience.
