You will design and review cloud architecture for an organisation running Azure (about 690 resources), AWS, a smaller cloud provider, Microsoft 365 and on-premise server rooms in two countries.
Responsibilities
Design hybrid and multi-cloud architectures, landing zones and integration patterns.
Lead backup, recovery and disaster recovery design, including Microsoft 365 data protection.
Advise on data platform architecture, including a planned lakehouse for enterprise analytics.
Review cloud security posture with the security team (Defender for Cloud, identity, networking).
Advise on compute and storage for scientific workloads.
Must have
5+ years designing Azure solutions; working knowledge of AWS.
Delivered at least one backup/DR design or cloud migration.
Infrastructure as code (Terraform, Bicep or ARM).
Microsoft Entra ID and Azure networking.
Nice to have
Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification.
Veeam or Microsoft 365 backup experience; Microsoft Fabric, Databricks or Synapse; HPC exposure.
