Constance Halaveli, our luxury resort destination in the Maldives, is seeking a Guest Relations Host (Chinese Speaker) to join our esteemed hospitality team. In this pivotal role, you will serve as a cultural bridge and primary point of contact for our Chinese-speaking guests, ensuring their stay is exceptional and memorable. Conduct regular check-ins with guests throughout their stay to ensure satisfaction and address any emerging needs • Represent the resort at public areas, maintaining a professional appearance and approachable demeanour • Support special events and functions, ensuring Chinese-speaking guests feel welcomed and included
Serve as the primary liaison between Chinese-speaking guests and resort departments, facilitating seamless communication and addressing inquiries in Mandarin Chinese.
Assist guests with resort information, activity bookings, dining reservations, and special requests, ensuring all needs are met promptly and courteously.
Handle guest concerns and complaints with empathy and professionalism, working towards swift and satisfactory resolutions.
Provide cultural guidance and local insights to enhance guests' understanding and appreciation of the Maldivian experience.
Maintain detailed records of guest interactions and preferences to personalize future visits.
Collaborate with front-of-house and back-of-house teams to ensure consistent, high-quality service delivery.
Conduct regular check-ins with guests throughout their stay to ensure satisfaction and address any emerging needs.
Represent the resort in public areas, maintaining a professional appearance and approachable demeanor.
Support special events and functions, ensuring Chinese-speaking guests feel welcomed and included.
Fluent in Mandarin Chinese (both spoken and written) with excellent English communication skills.
Minimum 2–3 years of experience in guest relations, customer service, or hospitality roles.
Proven experience working in a luxury resort, hotel, or high-end hospitality environment (preferred).
Strong interpersonal and people skills with the ability to build rapport quickly with guests from diverse backgrounds.
Exceptional problem-solving abilities and emotional intelligence.
Demonstrated ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
Knowledge of hospitality standards and best practices in guest service.
Familiarity with guest management systems and property management software (desirable).
Multilingual capabilities beyond Mandarin Chinese and English (desirable).
Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
Willingness to undergo induction and ongoing training in resort-specific procedures and protocols.
