Role Description The Lead Windchill Solution Architect will serve as the primary technical and consulting authority for Windchill-based solutions in a remote, contract capacity. This role involves designing end-to-end solution architectures, configuring and optimizing Windchill environments, and ensuring seamless integration with existing enterprise systems. Day-to-day tasks include collaborating with customer stakeholders to understand business processes, translating requirements into scalable technical designs, and guiding implementation and customization efforts. The architect will review software development deliverables, oversee integration activities, and provide best-practice recommendations to improve performance, reliability, and usability. The role also includes mentoring technical teams, preparing technical documentation, and supporting ongoing enhancements and issue resolution throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Solution Architecture skills, including experience designing end-to-end PLM solutions in Windchill or similar platforms.
Candidates should possess Consulting and Business Process skills, with the ability to analyze current workflows, gather requirements, and recommend process improvements aligned with customer goals.
Candidates should possess Software Development and Integration skills, including hands-on experience with configuring, customizing, and integrating Windchill with ERP, CAD, or other enterprise applications.
Candidates should possess experience working in engineering or product development environments, ideally within MedTech, Aerospace, Automotive, or related industries.
Relevant qualifications include a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Additional beneficial skills include familiarity with PLM best practices, change and configuration management, standards-driven development, and cloud or hybrid infrastructure environments.
Strong communication, stakeholder management, and remote collaboration skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and deliver results in a contract setting.
