We are looking for an experienced OpenSearch Platform & Security Engineer to manage, secure, migrate, and automate OpenSearch/Elasticsearch environments. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on expertise in platform administration, security configuration, Terraform, and CI/CD automation.

Job Summary
The candidate will be responsible for managing and migrating OpenSearch/Elasticsearch platforms, implementing fine-grained security controls, configuring authentication and authorization, and automating infrastructure deployments using Terraform and CI/CD pipelines. The role involves ensuring platform stability, security, scalability, and seamless integration with enterprise applications.
Key Responsibilities
Manage, administer, and support OpenSearch and Elasticsearch environments.
Plan and execute platform migrations, including data, indexes, configurations, and related components.
Configure and maintain OpenSearch Dashboards.
Implement and manage Fine-Grained Access Control (FGAC) using the OpenSearch Security Plugin.
Configure JWT-based authentication and role-based access control (RBAC).
Implement Document-Level Security (DLS) and Field-Level Security (FLS).
Manage roles, permissions, role mappings, and access-control policies.
Develop and maintain infrastructure using Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate infrastructure provisioning and platform deployments.
Troubleshoot platform, security, configuration, migration, and deployment issues.
Support platform upgrades and configuration changes while ensuring system stability and security.
Collaborate with application, infrastructure, DevOps, and security teams to integrate OpenSearch with enterprise applications.
Required Skills
Strong hands-on experience with OpenSearch and/or Elasticsearch administration and operations.
Proven experience with OpenSearch/Elasticsearch platform migration.
Hands-on experience configuring and managing OpenSearch Dashboards.
Strong knowledge of the OpenSearch Security Plugin and Fine-Grained Access Control (FGAC).
Practical experience with:
JWT-based authentication
Role-Based Access Control (RBAC)
Document-Level Security (DLS)
Field-Level Security (FLS)
Roles, permissions, and role mappings
Strong experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
Experience implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across platform and security components.
Good-to-Have Skills
Experience managing large-scale, highly available OpenSearch/Elasticsearch clusters.
Knowledge of cluster performance tuning, monitoring, indexing, and search optimization.
Experience integrating OpenSearch security with enterprise identity and authentication systems.
Familiarity with Git-based infrastructure management and deployment workflows.
