Staff Software Engineer, Developer Infrastructure

About the Opportunity:
The STAFF SOFTWARE ENGINEER, DEVELOPER INFRASTRUCTURE is responsible for owning and advancing core developer infrastructure platforms including continuous integration, build systems, and deployment orchestration. This role ensures that engineering tools are efficient, reliable, and scalable across the organization, directly impacting the productivity and effectiveness of thousands of engineers. The position involves leading complex technical initiatives, setting strategic direction, and driving alignment and adoption across teams.
Responsibilities:
Own and manage developer infrastructure platforms from design through production.
Identify and prioritize high-impact problems and develop technical roadmaps.
Improve key engineering metrics such as build times, deployment speed, and feedback latency.
Lead large-scale platform migration and cross-team strategic initiatives.
Enhance system reliability through SLOs, observability, and on-call management.
Collaborate with engineering leadership and teams to shape strategy and mentor engineers.
Requirements:
Over 8 years of experience building and operating production distributed systems.
Proficiency in Go or similar systems programming languages.
Extensive experience in CI/CD, build systems, or deployment tooling.
Proven track record in leading technical direction and org-wide alignment.
Deep expertise in system reliability, observability, and fast recovery.
Strong communication skills and experience in mentorship.
Responsible use of generative AI to improve workflow efficiency and quality.
Pay Range and Compensation Package:
Annual base salary range: $218,025 to $256,500 USD (excluding equity and bonus).
Total compensation may include equity, bonuses, and benefits such as medical, dental, vision insurance, and 401(k).
