About the role
Description supplied by the original job listing.
We're hiring an AI Implementation & Automation Engineer to help a growing U.S.-based company identify, build, and scale AI-powered solutions across its business operations.
This is a hands-on technical role combining AI development, business process automation, systems integration, and operational efficiency.
We're looking for someone who can understand how an entire business process works, identify inefficiencies, and design, develop, implement, and maintain AI-driven solutions from the ground up.
You'll work closely with leadership, development, and operations teams to improve existing systems, automate repetitive tasks, and build scalable solutions that deliver measurable business results.
This is not a traditional virtual assistant role or a position focused on simply using AI tools. We need a technical builder who can independently evaluate business problems, develop solutions, and take ownership of their ongoing performance.
What You'll Own:
Analyze business processes and identify opportunities for AI and automation.
Design and implement AI agents, automated workflows, and system integrations.
Connect CRMs, APIs, databases, and third-party platforms.
Improve operational efficiency by reducing repetitive manual work.
Build scalable, reliable solutions that support multiple departments.
Test, troubleshoot, monitor, and maintain implemented automations.
Document technical architecture, workflows, integrations, and dependencies.
Measure the business impact and ongoing performance of implemented solutions.
Core Responsibilities:
Business Process Analysis & Automation Strategy
Audit existing workflows across departments, starting with Inside Sales.
Map end-to-end business processes to understand how information, tasks, and decisions move between teams.
Identify bottlenecks, redundant tasks, manual data entry, and operational inefficiencies.
Evaluate which processes can be improved through AI, automation, or system integrations.
Recommend solutions based on technical feasibility, implementation effort, and expected business impact.
Develop implementation roadmaps with clear priorities, milestones, and deliverables.
AI Development & Implementation
Design and implement automated workflows across multiple business platforms.
Integrate APIs, CRMs, databases, and third-party applications.
Build and maintain reliable data flows between systems.
Automate lead management, CRM updates, follow-ups, appointment workflows, and internal handoffs.
Collaborate with development teams to extend, improve, or rebuild existing systems when necessary.
Identify opportunities to consolidate tools and simplify operational processes.
Workflow Automation & Systems Integration
Test AI agents, integrations, and automation workflows before deployment.
Troubleshoot errors, failed workflows, and data inconsistencies.
Monitor implemented solutions to ensure reliability and performance.
Maintain and improve automations as business requirements evolve.
Identify potential risks, system dependencies, and operational vulnerabilities.
Evaluate AI usage, API consumption, and operating costs to maintain cost-effective solutions.
Technical Documentation & Project Ownership
Document system architecture, automation logic, workflows, and integrations.
Maintain clear records of dependencies, configurations, and system ownership.
Manage implementation projects from discovery through deployment.
Communicate progress, timelines, risks, and recommendations proactively.
Collaborate with technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
Ensure solutions can be maintained and scaled over time.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
Proven experience building and implementing AI-powered workflows and business automations in real-world environments.
Strong programming and technical development skills, with the ability to build solutions from scratch.
Hands-on experience with APIs, system integrations, data flows, and workflow automation.
Experience developing, testing, deploying, and maintaining technical solutions.
Strong understanding of business process analysis and operational optimization.
Ability to analyze complex workflows and translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
Experience working with CRMs, databases, and third-party applications.
Ability to independently manage implementation projects and take ownership of results.
Strong technical documentation skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong written and spoken English for collaboration with U.S.-based teams.
Proactive communication and ability to work with both technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
