About the Opportunity:
The SENIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEER, STREAMING INFRASTRUCTURE will contribute to the Data Infrastructure team responsible for building and maintaining platforms that move data efficiently across the company's systems. This role focuses on designing, building, and operating large-scale change data capture and batch export systems, improving reliability and performance, and shaping the architecture of a unified data movement platform. The position is crucial for enabling other engineering teams to access and process data without deep expertise in databases or pipelines.
Responsibilities:
Develop, test, and maintain systems for real-time data streaming and batch data exports.
Collaborate with internal teams and leadership to deliver multi-month projects.
Enhance system reliability, performance, and efficiency critical to business functions.
Participate in operational support and on-call duties to maintain platform stability.
Contribute to architectural decisions for the data movement platform.
Requirements:
Over 5 years of experience in building and operating large-scale backend distributed systems.
Practical knowledge of streaming technologies like Kafka and database change capture methods.
Ability to manage and deeply understand complex codebases.
Experience with production system maintenance, analysis, and debugging at scale.
Strong coding skills producing clean, maintainable, and testable code.
Effective collaboration and communication in remote work settings.
Demonstrated ownership and consistent on-time project delivery.
Pay Range and Compensation Package:
Pay Range $196,000—$230,000 USD
Eligibility for bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits.
