About the role

Description supplied by the original job listing.

About Bask & Lather Co.
Bask & Lather Co. is a fast-growing, family-founded haircare brand dedicated to restoring
crowns and confidence. What began as a kitchen remedy has grown into one of the most
recognized textured-hair brands in the United States, known for transformative products,
authentic storytelling, and a deeply engaged community.
As we continue to grow, social media plays a critical role in how customers discover,
experience, and connect with Bask & Lather. We are building a social team that moves quickly,
understands culture, creates consistently, and produces content that earns attention and drives
action.
The Opportunity
Bask & Lather is seeking a creative, resourceful, and highly organized Social Media Coordinator
to support the daily execution of our organic social media and content strategy.
This is a hands-on content-creation role. A primary responsibility of the Social Media
Coordinator is to regularly film, edit, publish, and appear in original social content. This is not
simply a scheduling, community-management, or administrative position.
The successful candidate must be comfortable picking up a phone or camera, setting up lighting
and audio, directing talent, capturing multiple concepts, and editing footage into polished,
platform-native content. This person will create content from products, employees, customer
stories, office moments, retail activations, trends, launches, and cultural conversations.
The ideal candidate is deeply familiar with social culture, moves with urgency, accepts creative
feedback well, and enjoys working both behind and in front of the camera.
Key Responsibilities
Content Filming and Production
● Regularly film original social content at Bask & Lather’s office, content studios, retail
locations, brand events, activations, and other approved locations.
● Capture short-form videos, product demonstrations, tutorials, transformations, founder
and employee content, customer stories, educational content, behind-the-scenes
moments, and trend-based concepts.
● Film using smartphones, cameras, lighting, microphones, tripods, and other production
equipment.
● Prepare filming environments and ensure appropriate lighting, framing, sound, styling,
products, props, talent, and backgrounds.
● Direct employees, models, creators, customers, and other participants during content
capture.
● Comfortably appear on camera, demonstrate products, provide voiceovers, participate in
trends, and host social content when needed.
● Edit short-form videos using CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, native platform tools, or
similar software.
● Create and edit graphics, static posts, carousels, Stories, Reels, short-form videos, and
other platform-native content.
● Add captions, graphics, sound, transitions, hooks, calls to action, and other creative
elements that improve content performance.
● Repurpose footage into multiple versions, formats, hooks, and platform-specific edits.
● Organize raw footage, edited content, project files, and approved assets within the
company’s content library.
● Maintain a consistent production pace and meet established weekly content-volume
expectations.
● Capture timely content between formal shoots and respond quickly to real-time social
opportunities.
Social Media Execution
● Collaborate with the Senior Social Media & Content Marketing Manager to execute and
strengthen Bask & Lather’s online identity.
● Support content execution across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, Pinterest,
TikTok Shop, and emerging platforms.
● Contribute ideas and observations that help inform the brand’s organic social and
content strategy.

● Schedule and publish approved content accurately and on time.
● Adapt content for the audience, format, behavior, and technical requirements of each
platform.
● Maintain a consistent brand voice, visual identity, tone, and quality standard across all
channels.
● Conduct quality-control checks before publishing, including spelling, links, product
names, pricing, claims, captions, and formatting.
● Monitor platform updates, emerging formats, beauty conversations, textured-hair trends,
competitors, and relevant cultural moments.
● Proactively bring relevant, executable content ideas to the team, including why the
concept fits Bask & Lather and how it should be produced.
Live Social Content
● Regularly appear on camera and participate in or host TikTok Live, Instagram Live,
product demonstrations, tutorials, interviews, and other live social experiences.
● Prepare products, talking points, demonstrations, equipment, and supporting materials
before live sessions.
● Engage with the audience in real time while maintaining Bask & Lather’s brand voice
and messaging standards.
● Monitor live comments and escalate customer-service concerns, product complaints, or
sensitive issues appropriately.
● Review live performance and identify opportunities to improve future sessions.
Content Planning and Coordination
● Support the Senior Social Media & Content Marketing Manager in maintaining the
organic social content calendar.
● Participate actively in brainstorms and contribute original, executable content ideas.
● Prepare shot lists, scripts, props, products, equipment, talent schedules, and other
production materials.
● Coordinate with employees, creators, models, customers, and internal partners
participating in content.
● Track content through concepting, filming, editing, review, approval, scheduling, and
publishing.
● Identify missing assets, production needs, or execution risks early and recommend
solutions.
● Maintain an organized pipeline of ready-to-publish, evergreen, campaign, and real-time
content.

content opportunities with the appropriate teams.
● Escalate customer-service issues, product complaints, sensitive conversations, and
potential brand risks promptly.
● Follow established moderation, response, and escalation guidelines.
Creator and User-Generated Content Support
● Identify emerging creators, cultural voices, and social-media personalities who may align
with Bask & Lather.
● Share potential partnership opportunities with the Influencer & Affiliate Marketing
Manager.
● Support creator relationships through content capture, event participation, asset
organization, and amplification across Bask & Lather’s owned social channels.
● Track tagged content, customer testimonials, product demonstrations, and
transformation stories.
● Request and document appropriate permissions before reposting customer or creator
content.
● Download, label, organize, and maintain approved creator and user-generated content.
● Assist with adapting creator content for Bask & Lather’s organic social channels.
● Support content capture during creator visits, events, and brand activations.
● Ensure creator and customer content used on owned channels meets brand and quality
standards.

growth, shares, saves, comments, and conversion-related metrics.
● Maintain accurate performance trackers and assist with weekly and monthly social
reporting.
