We are seeking an organised, commercially minded, and proactive Technical Product Manager to help drive the development, management, and growth of our building product portfolio.
Working closely with our Senior Category & NPD Manager, you will play a key role in managing products throughout their lifecycle, supporting new product development initiatives, coordinating suppliers, maintaining technical product information, and identifying opportunities to improve product performance and category growth.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys combining product management, project coordination, commercial analysis, supplier engagement, and technical product support within the construction and building products industry.
What You'll Do
✅ Support the execution of category strategies and product portfolio plans
✅ Manage product roadmaps, category registers, action plans, and reporting
✅ Monitor product performance, market trends, emerging technologies, and competitor activity
✅ Coordinate new product development (NPD) projects from concept through to launch
✅ Work closely with suppliers to manage quotations, pricing, technical information, specifications, and documentation
✅ Support product testing, compliance activities, certifications, and evaluation processes
✅ Develop and maintain product datasheets, technical manuals, installation guides, and knowledge resources
✅ Provide technical product support to internal stakeholders, sales teams, and business partners
✅ Assist with product launches, marketing initiatives, and value proposition development
✅ Prepare supplier, category, product, and commercial performance reports
✅ Identify opportunities for process improvement and support AI-enabled tools and automation initiatives
What We're Looking For
✅ Experience in product management, category management, procurement, project coordination, operations, or a similar role
✅ Experience within the construction, building products, building materials, manufacturing, architectural products, or related industries
✅ Strong knowledge of construction products, building materials, technical specifications, or product applications within the building and construction sector
✅ Experience working with technical documentation, product specifications, certifications, compliance requirements, or installation systems
✅ Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities
✅ Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
✅ Strong analytical, commercial, and problem-solving abilities
✅ Experience coordinating suppliers, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams
✅ Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Teams
✅ Ability to work independently in a remote environment while supporting Australian stakeholders
✅ High attention to detail and a process-driven mindset

⭐ Experience supporting product development or New Product Development (NPD) projects
⭐ Exposure to supplier management, sourcing, manufacturing, quality, compliance, or testing processes
⭐ Knowledge of building codes, construction standards, certifications, or regulatory requirements
⭐ Experience with Salesforce, NetSuite, Monday.com, Smartsheet, or similar business systems
⭐ Experience working with façade systems, cladding, architectural products, or construction-related product categories
⭐ Familiarity with AI productivity and workflow automation tools
