Role Description This full-time remote Project Consultant role is responsible for guiding clients through the implementation and optimization of Taxcart’s tax automation solutions. Day-to-day tasks include leading requirements-gathering sessions, translating business needs into technical configurations, and coordinating project plans and timelines with client and internal stakeholders. The Project Consultant will oversee solution testing, troubleshoot integration issues, and ensure accurate tax application across checkouts, invoices, and ERPs. This role also involves preparing documentation, training client teams, and providing ongoing advisory support to help customers maximize value and maintain compliance in global tax environments.
Qualifications
Project management and consulting skills, including scoping, planning, stakeholder communication, and status reporting.
Technical implementation skills, such as working with APIs, system integrations, and ERP or e-commerce platforms.
Analytical skills with the ability to interpret business requirements, process flows, and data to design effective solutions.
Knowledge of indirect taxes (sales tax, VAT, GST) and basic regulatory concepts related to global digital commerce is highly beneficial.
Strong communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences and facilitate client workshops.
Experience working remotely, with proven self-organization, time management, and collaboration in distributed teams.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Prior experience in SaaS implementation, fintech, tax technology, or ERP consulting is a plus.
