Job Description
We’re looking for a skilled NetSuite Technical Consultant to work with our Accounting, Finance and Manufacturing departments. In this role, you will:
Understand business requirements and turn them into sound technical solutions in NetSuite.
Design, build, test and deploy customizations, scripts, workflows and integrations.
Work alongside Business Analysts and other technical resources to deliver NetSuite capabilities that meet our requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Understanding business processes: Work with stakeholders and Business Analysts to understand requirements, scope and objectives, then turn them into effective technical designs.
System configuration and customization: Build custom records, fields, forms, saved searches, SuiteAnalytics workbooks, dashboards, and Advanced PDF/HTML templates.
SuiteScript development: Build and maintain scripts in SuiteScript 2.x, including User Event, Client, Scheduled, Map/Reduce, Suitelet and RESTlet scripts.
Workflows and automation: Design and build SuiteFlow workflows, approval routings and automated processes.
Integrations: Build and support integrations between NetSuite and other applications using SuiteTalk (SOAP/REST), RESTlets and middleware tools such as Celigo or Boomi. You’ll also monitor these integrations and handle their errors.
Streamlining operations: Look for ways to improve processes, and use NetSuite customization and automation to make operations more efficient.
Data management: Keep data in NetSuite accurate and consistent. Handle data migration, imports and exports through CSV imports and scripts, and run regular data quality audits.
Deployment: Use SuiteCloud Development Framework (SDF) and sandbox environments to test changes and deploy them to production in a controlled way.
Support: Give end users technical support and training. Troubleshoot script errors, governance limits and other system issues so that NetSuite runs smoothly.
Documentation: Write technical design documents, test plans, user guides, and deployment and maintenance documentation.
The ideal candidate combines strong NetSuite technical skills with a good understanding of business and finance, and knows accounting, inventory and manufacturing processes well. They should also be results-oriented, solve problems well and communicate clearly. You should have 3–5 years of hands-on experience with NetSuite deployments, customizations and integrations.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
At least 3 years of experience as a NetSuite Technical Consultant, Developer or in a similar role.
Strong understanding of NetSuite ERP modules and how they work.
Hands-on experience with SuiteScript 2.1, SuiteFlow, SuiteTalk, SuiteAnalytics and SDF.
Experience building integrations with third-party systems (REST/SOAP APIs, JSON, XML).
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
NetSuite SuiteCloud Developer, Administrator and SuiteFoundation certifications are a plus.
