Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Procurement Engineer – MEP to manage end-to-end procurement of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) materials and equipment for construction and infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities
Manage end-to-end procurement of MEP materials, equipment, and systems.
Handle procurement of HVAC equipment, electrical panels, cables, lighting, plumbing materials, pumps, valves, and firefighting systems.
Prepare and float RFQs, review technical specifications, and evaluate vendor quotations.
Prepare comparative statements, negotiate prices, and finalize purchase orders.
Coordinate with project, engineering, and site teams to understand material requirements and procurement schedules.
Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable vendors and suppliers.
Review BOQs, technical submittals, material specifications, and commercial terms.
Monitor delivery schedules and ensure timely availability of materials at project sites.
Manage procurement budgets, cost estimates, rate analysis, and cost-saving initiatives.
Ensure materials comply with project specifications, quality standards, and applicable regulations.
Coordinate with contractors, consultants, vendors, and internal stakeholders to resolve procurement-related issues.
Maintain procurement records, purchase orders, delivery documentation, and vendor performance reports.
Qualification
B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
Preferred Candidate Profile
10–14 years of experience in MEP procurement for construction or infrastructure projects.
Strong knowledge of MEP materials, vendor management, tendering, commercial negotiations, and cost control.
Ability to coordinate with project and engineering teams and ensure timely material procurement.
Candidates with immediate availability or a notice period of up to 15 days are preferred.
