Founding Engineer

ABOUT THE ROLE
Join an early-stage enterprise AI company as one of its first engineers, building agents that automate complex enterprise system implementations. You will help shape the product and engineering foundations for reliable data movement across business-critical systems.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Build the planning, execution, and self-healing loops that turn integration requirements into production-ready data workflows.
- Own work across connectors, transformation tools, execution runtimes, the web application, SDK, and MCP server.
- Design and maintain reliable infrastructure that operates on critical enterprise systems and data.
- Join customer conversations when they relate to your work and use feedback to guide implementation.
- Establish engineering patterns and quality standards for a growing team.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- At least two years of software engineering experience building production systems, including experience at a startup or high-growth company.
- Strong TypeScript skills and demonstrated experience building end-to-end applications, plus proficiency in Python, Go, or C.
- Experience designing critical infrastructure with sound reliability and scalability judgment.
- Experience integrating with or implementing enterprise systems such as ERP, CRM, or data warehouse platforms.
- Direct experience supporting customers or delivering technical implementations.
- Experience contributing to open-source projects.
- Data migration, ETL, system integration, distributed systems, data pipelines, or LLM and agent tooling experience is valuable.
- Strong technical depth, demonstrated through education or equivalent practical experience, is valued.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Base salary: €90,000 to €150,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is not available.
LOCATION
On-site, five days per week in Munich, Bavaria, Germany. Candidates must be willing to work on-site or relocate.
