About the Opportunity:
The BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE AND ANALYTICS MANAGER role is designed to lead the development and execution of the business intelligence strategy. This position is responsible for managing a team that delivers accurate, timely, and insightful reporting and analytics, incorporating innovative AI technologies to improve data-driven decision-making across the organization.
Responsibilities:
Define and manage the BI roadmap aligned with business priorities and key performance indicators.
Standardize metrics and reporting to ensure a trusted single source of data.
Make strategic decisions regarding dashboard and report development, acquisition, or retirement.
Oversee design and delivery of executive dashboards, operational reports, and self-service analytics.
Translate business questions into data analyses and recommendations for senior leadership.
Ensure reporting accuracy, timeliness, documentation, and usability.
Identify and pilot Generative AI use cases in reporting, including natural-language querying and automated insights.
Evaluate AI features in BI platforms and scale successful proofs of concept.
Establish responsible AI use policies, including data privacy and human oversight.
Train analysts and business users in AI-assisted reporting.
Hire, coach, and develop BI and analytics team members.
Prioritize team workload and manage delivery timelines and quality.
Foster a culture of data literacy and continuous improvement.
Serve as the primary liaison for business leaders on analytics and reporting needs.
Collaborate with data engineering on data models, pipelines, and quality.
Enforce data governance policies including access control and compliance.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience.
At least 7 years of experience in BI, analytics, or reporting, including 2 years in a leadership or management role.
Proficiency with major BI platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or Qlik, including data modeling and dashboard design.
Strong SQL skills and understanding of data warehousing concepts.
Proven experience delivering executive-level reports that influence business decisions.
Practical knowledge of Generative AI and large language models in reporting contexts.
Excellent communication skills for explaining complex data to non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred qualifications include a Master’s degree or MBA, experience with AI-enhanced BI tools, familiarity with AI prompt design and evaluation, cloud data platform knowledge, programming skills in Python or R, understanding of data governance and responsible AI practices, and relevant certifications.
Pay Range and Compensation Package:
$90,000 to $120,000 base salary per year plus annual bonus.
The posted range reflects base salary across a national hiring scale and varies based on experience, skills, work location, and role responsibilities.
For higher cost-of-living locations, compensation may exceed the posted range.
