Rail Crew

Shift Information
Full-time position
Flexible schedule required, including weekends, evenings, and holidays
Work may include outdoor exposure and varying weather conditions
Key Responsibilities
Operate forklifts and trucks to transport customer orders and load them onto railcars using pneumatic and gas-powered tools (e.g., chainsaw, nail gun, tensioner, hammer).
Inspect, operate, and maintain all tools and equipment; promptly report any malfunctions or hazards.
Follow all Safe Job Instructions (SJIs), AAR loading guidelines, and federal, state, and local rail operation regulations.
Maintain a clean and orderly rail area and assist with general yard and mill work as needed.
Communicate with supervisors and team members, and report any issues, incidents, or hazards immediately.
Work Environment
Outdoor and rail yard environment with exposure to weather, dust, and noise
Physical job involving standing, lifting, tool use, and working at heights

Education
High school diploma or GED preferred
Experience
Prior experience in rail yard, warehouse, or industrial setting a plus
Forklift operation experience preferred
Ability to safely operate pneumatic and gas-powered tools
Familiarity with railcar loading standards (AAR guidelines) is a plus
Must complete all required safety and compliance training
