Deputy Manager - Packaging Line (Engineering & Maintenance) | Injectable Facility

Job Summary:
Lead packaging line maintenance, equipment reliability, machine assembly/installation, and brownfield projects. Drive technical evaluation and procurement of new packaging equipment while ensuring operational excellence, compliance, and cost optimization.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure reliability and maintenance of packaging equipment including labellers, cartoners, case packers, serialization/aggregation systems, and conveyors.
Lead preventive and predictive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and improve equipment performance.
Manage breakdown analysis, troubleshooting, and root cause investigations for critical equipment failures.
Lead machine assembly, installation, integration, commissioning, and handover activities.
Execute brownfield projects, capacity enhancement initiatives, line modifications, and equipment relocations.
Drive technical evaluation, procurement, and implementation of new packaging equipment, including URS preparation, vendor evaluation, and FAT/SAT activities.
Analyze downtime metrics, MTBF/MTTR trends, and implement reliability improvement initiatives.
Manage critical spares, consumables, obsolescence mitigation, and OEM coordination.
Ensure compliance with GMP, GDP, EHS, QMS, SOPs, CAPAs, deviations, and change control requirements.
Monitor project budgets, timelines, procurement activities, and vendor performance.
Collaborate with Production, Quality, Validation, Automation, Projects, and external stakeholders for seamless execution.
Lead and mentor engineers and technicians to achieve operational and project objectives.
