Data Engineer

A high-growth, VC-backed SaaS company is hiring its founding India team and has partnered with Flexiple to bring on a data engineer to build its data infrastructure. You will make sure the right data reaches the right teams, reliably and on time. Flexiple is a managed marketplace that helps global companies build high-performing teams and GCCs in India.
Role Overview
As a Data Engineer, you will design, build, and maintain the pipelines and warehouses that turn raw data into a resource the business can trust.
Key Responsibilities
Pipeline Development
Design and build ETL/ELT pipelines that move data from source systems to the warehouse
Model data for analytics and reporting use cases
Optimise pipeline performance and manage compute and storage costs
Data Quality & Governance
Build validation and monitoring so pipeline failures surface immediately
Document data lineage, schemas, and definitions for downstream users
Partner with analytics and product teams on their data requirements
Ideal Candidate Profile
2 to 6 years building data pipelines or warehouse infrastructure
Strong SQL skills plus experience with Python or Scala for pipeline development
Experience with a modern data warehouse (Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift)
Clear written and spoken English and a reliable remote-work setup
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with orchestration tools (Airflow, Dagster, or Prefect)
Exposure to streaming systems (Kafka, Kinesis) and real-time pipelines
A degree in computer science, statistics, or a related field
