QA Engineer

We are looking for a Manual QA Engineer with 3+ years of experience to join our on-site team. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in web and mobile applications testing, functional testing, API testing using Postman, SQL for database validation, and defect tracking. You will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our applications by working closely with developers and the product team.
The core responsibilities for the job include the following:
Test Planning and Execution:
Analyze business requirements and technical specifications to create detailed test cases.
Develop and execute functional, UI, regression, and system test cases for web and mobile applications.
Conduct cross-browser and cross-platform testing to ensure compatibility.
API and Database Testing:
Perform REST API testing using Postman (validating requests, responses, headers, and authentication).
Write and execute SQL queries to validate backend data and ensure data integrity.
Bug Reporting and Test Management:
Identify, document, and track defects using JIRA, TestRail, or similar tools.
Work closely with developers to reproduce and resolve reported issues.
Participate in agile ceremonies like daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
User Acceptance and Exploratory Testing-
Conduct exploratory testing to identify usability and functional issues.
Assist stakeholders in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and release validation.
Performance Testing (Good to Have):
Conduct performance testing using JMeter, k6 or Locust.
Requirements:
Manual Testing: Functional, UI, Regression, Smoke, and Sanity Testing.
API Testing: Postman (Collections, Assertions, Headers, Authentication, Environments).
Database Testing: Writing SQL queries for data validation (MySQL/PostgreSQL).
Bug Tracking Tools: JIRA, TestRail, or similar defect tracking systems.
Agile Testing: Experience in working within Scrum/Kanban methodologies.
