Role Description
· This is a full-time, on-site Production Engineer role focused on Injection Molding Processes, based in Sriperumbudur.
· The role involves overseeing daily injection molding operations, setting and optimizing process parameters, and ensuring efficient production cycles with minimal downtime.
· Responsibilities include monitoring machine performance, coordinating production planning and scheduling, and working closely with maintenance and quality teams to resolve technical issues.
· The Production Engineer will implement and maintain quality control procedures, analyze production data to improve output and reduce waste, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
· The role also requires preparing production reports, maintaining compliance with safety standards, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet delivery and performance targets.
· Allocate manpower and execute production plans.
· Manage mould changes and colour changes.
· Train production employees.
· Achieve shift production targets.
· Ensure adherence to SOPs and quality requirements.
· Reduce rejection and lumps.
· Maintain production records and shift documents.
· Ensure effective utilization of manpower.
· Maintain 5S standards in production areas.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong skills in Production Engineering, with hands-on experience in injection molding processes and plastic manufacturing.
Candidates should possess analytical skills for production data analysis, problem-solving, and process optimization.
Candidates should possess skills in production planning and scheduling to manage resources, throughput, and on-time delivery.
Candidates should possess knowledge of quality control practices, including inspection procedures, defect analysis, and continuous improvement tools.
Candidates should possess effective communication skills for coordinating with operations, maintenance, quality, and management teams.
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Production, Polymer, or Plastics Engineering (or related field) is preferred.
Experience in high-volume manufacturing, familiarity with lean manufacturing or 5S, and knowledge of safety and ISO standards will be beneficial.
Ability to work on-site in Sriperumbudur with a focus on reliability, teamwork, and adherence to operational and safety guidelines.
