Creative Lead (Promo)

As a Creative Lead – Promo, you will be responsible for shaping the creative direction and strategy for promotional content for our Crime Thriller stories. The role requires a strong storyteller and writer who understands how to build suspense, intrigue, emotion, and curiosity while translating long-form stories into compelling promotional narratives.
What You’ll Do:
Lead the creative development of long-form promos for Crime Thriller content, from ideation and writing to final execution.
Develop strong promo narratives with compelling hooks, suspense, conflict, emotional beats, reveals, and cliffhangers.
Define and drive the creative strategy for promos, keeping audience engagement and content performance at the centre.
Lead and manage a team of writers, providing creative direction, feedback, mentoring, and quality oversight.
Work closely with creative, production, editing, and other stakeholders to ensure the final output reflects the intended creative vision.
Bring a strong understanding of production and post-production workflows and effectively translate written concepts into engaging visual/audio promos.
Work in an iterative, marketing-focused environment, using feedback, audience insights, and performance data to refine creative.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute promotional campaigns across formats.
Balance creative quality with speed, scale, and business objectives.
What We’re Looking For:
5+ years of experience in writing, creative development, promotions, content, or related fields within entertainment, OTT, TV, digital, or media.
Strong experience in long-form writing and storytelling, preferably across fiction, thriller, crime, or other narrative-driven content.
Proven experience writing or developing long-form promotional content, trailers, teasers, or narrative-led campaigns.
Strong understanding of Crime Thriller storytelling, including suspense, pacing, character motivations, twists, reveals, and audience hooks.
Experience managing or mentoring a team of writers/creative professionals and providing strong creative direction.
Experience working with multiple stakeholders across creative, production, editing, and post-production.
Good understanding of the production and post-production process. (We are looking for a strong storyteller/writer who understands production and post-production, rather than a post-production professional who also has writing experience.)
Strong written and verbal English proficiency, with the ability to ideate, develop concepts, communicate creative direction, and discuss storytelling effectively in English.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, iterative, marketing-focused environment where creative is continuously refined based on feedback and audience response.
Strong creative judgment, strategic thinking, and the ability to understand what makes promotional content engaging and effective.
