The role will operate at the intersection of business and technology, with a strong focus on modernizing engineering workflows, enhancing the adoption and utilization of the Engineering ERP system, AMOS, improving decision-making through data, and delivering scalable digital solutions aligned with IndiGo’s operational, regulatory, and growth objectives.
This role is critical to strengthening the overall engineering digital ecosystem, including engineering systems, mobile enablement, workflow automation, analytics, integrations, predictive maintenance capabilities, and user adoption across Engineering functions.
Key Responsibilities
Work closely with Engineering stakeholders to identify digitalization and automation opportunities across Line Maintenance, Base Maintenance, Planning, Execution, Reliability, Inventory, Technical Records, and other Engineering functions.
Analyze existing Engineering processes, systems, workflows, and pain points, including M&E platforms and related applications, and recommend digital improvements, automation opportunities, and process optimization initiatives.
Translate complex business requirements into clear functional, technical, and product requirements for digital tools, platforms, dashboards, integrations, and workflow solutions.
Own and drive the product roadmap for Engineering digital initiatives, including requirement prioritization, backlog management, release planning, and coordination with internal and external technology teams.
Enhance the adoption, usage, and effectiveness of the Engineering ERP system, AMOS, and support integrations with mobile applications, analytics dashboards, IoT devices, cloud-based platforms, and other enterprise systems.
Conduct cross-functional workshops, stakeholder interviews, process walkthroughs, and data mapping exercises to define optimal digital workflows and solution designs.
Collaborate with software vendors, solution architects, developers, data teams, cybersecurity teams, infrastructure teams, and business users to design, configure, test, and deploy digital solutions.
Define, monitor, and report key performance indicators, including process efficiency, productivity improvement, cost savings, compliance improvement, data quality, user adoption, and operational benefits from digital initiatives.
Ensure that digital solutions are scalable, secure, compliant, user-friendly, and aligned with airline Engineering, Maintenance, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications And Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Business, Aviation Management, or a related field. Relevant industry certifications will be an added advantage.
2 to 5 years of experience in a Application Development, Product Manager, Business Analyst, Digital Transformation, or Technology Delivery role,
Strong understanding of airline Engineering and Maintenance processes, including Line Maintenance, Base Maintenance, Maintenance Planning, Reliability, Technical Records, Inventory, and MRO operations.
Good knowledge of aviation Engineering ERP, M&E, or MRO systems such as AMOS, TRAX, Ramco, or similar platforms. Knowledge of Airbus Skywise would be a positive.
Sound understanding of digital technologies, including mobile applications, APIs, data analytics, workflow automation, cloud solutions, system integrations, dashboards, and enterprise applications.
Experience in product ownership activities such as requirement gathering, roadmap planning, backlog prioritization, user story creation, UAT coordination, release management, and stakeholder communication.
Ability to work with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Digital, IT, vendors, cybersecurity, data teams, operations, and senior leadership.
Preferred Experience
Prior experience in airline Engineering digital transformation, MRO system implementation, AMOS adoption, paperless maintenance, mobile maintenance applications, or Engineering workflow automation.
Experience in implementing or enhancing digital solutions for aircraft maintenance, technical records, maintenance planning, reliability, inventory, aircraft turnaround, or compliance-related workflows.
Exposure to data-driven Engineering use cases such as predictive maintenance, reliability analytics, aircraft health monitoring, maintenance dashboards, or operational performance tracking.
Understanding of aviation regulatory requirements and the importance of data accuracy, auditability, traceability, and compliance in Engineering and Maintenance processes.
