Role Description The Associate Producer role at Don Cinema is a full-time, on-site position based in Mumbai. This role supports the development and execution of film and media projects from pre-production through post-production. Day-to-day responsibilities include coordinating schedules, managing production logistics, assisting with budgeting and vendor management, and supporting the producer in script breakdowns and shoot planning. The Associate Producer will communicate with internal teams and external partners, maintain documentation and reports, track deliverables, and help ensure projects stay on time and within scope. The role also involves contributing creative input when needed, troubleshooting issues on set or in the office, and maintaining high standards of quality and professionalism throughout the production lifecycle.
Qualifications
Strong production coordination skills, including scheduling, logistics management, and vendor coordination.
Experience supporting budgets, handling basic cost tracking, and managing production documentation.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with directors, crew, clients, and partners.
Ability to work in fast-paced environments, prioritize tasks, and solve problems calmly under time constraints.
Familiarity with film and digital content workflows, including pre-production, shooting, and post-production processes.
Proficiency with common productivity tools (e.g., spreadsheets, presentations, project management software).
Relevant education in film, media, communications, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Previous experience in a production or assistant/coordination role in film, TV, or digital media is highly beneficial.
Strong attention to detail, reliability, and a collaborative mindset, with openness to feedback and continuous learning.
