About the Role
We’re looking for an enthusiastic Astronomy Educator who can turn curiosity about the universe into engaging learning experiences.
You’ll be conducting astronomy workshops for students, introducing them to concepts like planets, stars, galaxies, space exploration, and the science behind the night sky through interactive activities, demonstrations, experiments, and hands-on experiences.
What You’ll Do
Conduct engaging astronomy and space science workshops for students.
Explain astronomy concepts in a simple, exciting, and age-appropriate way.
Lead hands-on activities, demonstrations, experiments, and telescope-based sessions.
Conduct stargazing and night-sky observation sessions when required.
Encourage students to ask questions, explore ideas, and think scientifically.
Prepare and adapt workshop content based on different age groups and learning levels.
Represent Hexstar Universe during school workshops, events, and educational programs.
Work with the education team to continuously improve workshop experiences.
What We’re Looking For
Strong interest or academic background in Astronomy, Astrophysics, Physics, Space Science, or a related field.
Good communication and public-speaking skills.
Ability to explain complex scientific concepts in a simple and engaging manner.
Comfortable interacting with children and young learners.
Passion for space, science, and education.
Willingness to travel for workshops and educational events when required.
Prior teaching, workshop, science communication, or outreach experience is a plus.
