Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Medchal for a Vegetable Seed Packing Supervisor reporting to the Plant Manager at Corntech Seeds & Harlal Seeds Pvt Ltd. The supervisor will oversee daily seed packing operations, including organizing packing schedules, assigning tasks, and monitoring workflow to ensure timely completion of orders. Responsibilities include supervising packing staff, checking seed labels and packaging materials, maintaining cleanliness and safety standards, and ensuring that packed seeds meet quality specifications. The role involves coordinating with inventory and production teams, verifying counts and records, and updating documentation for batches dispatched. The supervisor will also identify process improvements, support training of team members, and help resolve packing-related issues to maintain efficient operations.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong supervision and team leadership skills, with experience managing on-site operational staff in a production or packing environment.
Candidates should possess skills in organizing workflows, scheduling tasks, and coordinating with inventory or logistics teams to meet packing and dispatch timelines.
Candidates should possess attention to detail, basic quality control skills, and the ability to check labels, counts, and packaging for accuracy and compliance.
Candidates should possess basic data recording and documentation skills, including maintaining packing logs, batch records, and simple reports.
Candidates should possess good communication skills, the ability to follow and enforce safety procedures, and a practical understanding of workplace health and safety standards.
Prior experience in seed packing, agricultural inputs, or manufacturing operations is preferred; familiarity with vegetable seeds or agri-business processes is an advantage.
Minimum of a high school diploma; a technical or agriculture-related qualification is beneficial, along with the ability to stand for extended periods and perform light manual tasks.
