Director of Business Operations

Role Description The Director of Business Operations will oversee and optimize core operational processes to support the fund’s strategic and impact objectives. This part-time hybrid role is based in Sharjah, with a mix of on-site collaboration and flexible work-from-home arrangements. Key responsibilities include designing and improving business processes, coordinating program activities across investments and partners, and ensuring efficient workflows and internal controls. The role also involves monitoring financial and operational performance metrics, preparing reports for leadership and stakeholders, and supporting the integration of best practices in governance, compliance, and data-driven decision-making. The Director will work closely with the investment, finance, and advisory teams to align operations with fund strategy and support scalable growth.
Qualifications
Strong Business Operations and Business Process Improvement skills to design, refine, and manage efficient, scalable processes.
Proficient Analytical Skills to interpret data, track performance indicators, and support evidence-based decision-making.
Solid understanding of Finance to collaborate with fund and portfolio teams on budgeting, reporting, and resource allocation.
Program Management capabilities to coordinate activities, timelines, and stakeholders across multiple initiatives.
Relevant experience in venture capital, financial services, or impact investing, ideally within emerging markets or the insurance sector.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and in a multicultural environment.
Demonstrated ability to work independently in a hybrid setting, prioritize multiple workstreams, and meet deadlines.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field; an advanced degree (e.g., MBA, Master’s in Finance) is an advantage.
