Backend Developer (Rust Python and AI)

Convosight is looking for a highly skilled Backend Engineer to build scalable, high-performance systems powering our AI-driven SaaS platform. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Rust, Python, distributed systems, cloud technologies, and AI/LLM integrations.
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs.
Build high-performance microservices using Rust and Python.
Develop and optimise AI-powered features leveraging LLMs and GenAI technologies.
Design database architectures and optimise query performance.
Integrate third-party APIs, AI models, and cloud services.
Collaborate with Product, Data, AI, and Frontend teams to deliver production-ready solutions.
Ensure system reliability, security, scalability, and observability.
Participate in architecture discussions and technical decision-making.
Requirements:
4+ years of backend development experience.
Strong expertise in Rust and Python.
Hands-on experience building production-grade APIs and microservices.
Experience with LLMs, GenAI, RAG, Vector Databases, and AI Agent frameworks.
Strong understanding of system design, distributed systems, and scalable architectures.
Experience with PostgreSQL, Redis, and database optimisation.
Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP).
Experience with asynchronous programming and event-driven architectures.
Strong knowledge of software engineering best practices, testing, and code quality.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with LangChain, LangGraph, LlamaIndex, OpenAI, Anthropic, or similar AI ecosystems.
Experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, or other messaging systems.
Exposure to MLOps and AI model deployment.
Experience working in high-growth SaaS startups.
