QA Engineer I

Responsibilities:
Design and execute security-focused test cases for Android, iOS, and Web applications.
Perform security testing on mobile applications and APIs to identify vulnerabilities and validate security controls.
Validate authentication, authorisation, session management, token handling, secure storage, and data protection mechanisms.
Execute functional, regression, and security test scenarios across mobile and web platforms.
Analyse application behaviour, network traffic, logs, and API responses to identify security risks and functional issues.
Use tools such as Burp Suite, Postman, Charles Proxy, Proxyman, adb, Android Studio, and Firebase for testing and debugging.
Document security findings, test results, and defects with clear reproduction steps and impact details.
Collaborate closely with developers and product teams to investigate issues and validate fixes.
Participate in release validation and security regression testing for critical mobile features such as login, subscriptions, video/content access, and downloads.
Contribute to improving security testing processes, test coverage, and QA best practices.
Requirements:
0-2 years of hands-on experiencein mobile application testing with exposure to security testing.
Strong understanding of Android and iOS application behaviour, mobile architecture, and platform-specific constraints.
Experience in API testing and security validation using tools such as Postman and Burp Suite.
Hands-on experience withCharles Proxy, Proxyman, adb, Android Studio, and Firebase for debugging and traffic analysis.
Experience executing functional, regression, exploratory, and security test scenarios for mobile applications.
Familiarity with REST APIs, HTTPS, JWT/OAuth, session management, and secure data handling.
Experience using Jira and Zephyr(or equivalent test management tools).
Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams with developers and product managers.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.
Highly adaptable self-starter with attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
