Leading Associate Vice President - AI & Data

Responsibilities:
Lead the evolution, scalability, and reliability of the organization's AI and Data platforms delivery team.
Define and execute strategic plans for AI and Data, oversee implementation, enhancements, and ongoing operations.
Develop end-to-end solution strategies and a clear roadmap for AI, data, and analytics capabilities aligned with business needs.
Translate business strategy into an information and analytics strategy with a strong focus on the enablement of business stakeholders via the utilization of AI and advanced data methodologies.
Act as a role model, people leader, and senior expert, fostering talent, coaching team members, and building a high-performing organization.
Participate in high-level meetings and presentations to showcase the delivery capabilities and value proposition.
Lead effectively in an agile environment, continuously driving improvement across teams and initiatives.
Apply design thinking and solution-oriented approaches to deliver innovative, practical outcomes.
Stay current on emerging technologies, data trends, and skills needed to proactively evolve the team.
Support strategic and compliance (2nd line of defense) initiatives within Corporate IT.
Align with the team, ensure every delivery is broken down to the task level.
Setting up sprints in JIRA and aligning with client teams on the deliveries that will be done in the sprint.
Setting up tasks, sub-tasks in JIRA, assigning tasks to individuals in the team, tracking, and monitoring of the tasks.
Organize daily stand-up calls with the team, and stay connected with the team on the progress of tasks assigned.
Tracking delays on completion of tasks and understanding the reasons for delays.
Continuous monitoring of the tool and assignment of tickets to the right associate in the team.
Alignment with the client IT team to ensure the priority of individual tickets is appropriately set.
Focus on priority/emergency bugs.
Ensure backlog is always kept under control.
Continuous discussion with the team to address the backlog.
Ensure periodic updates are sent to all stakeholders.
Very effective stakeholders' management across the different teams.
Requirements:
15+ years' experience delivering analytics solutions across cloud and on-premises environments.
Proven leadership of complex system integrations (Cloud to Cloud, SAP to SAP, non-SAP to SAP), ensuring the right expertise is brought together to deliver successfully.
Strong understanding of business operations, data mesh concepts, data domains, and data products, with the ability to translate them into AI-driven business value.
Hands-on expertise with modern data and analytics platforms (Google BigQuery, Databricks, SAP BW/4HANA) and AI services/technologies (Vertex AI/Gemini).
Good knowledge in designing and delivering analytics front-end solutions using SAP Analytics Cloud, Microsoft Power BI, and Google Looker.
Deliver SAP MDG (Master Data Governance) related projects, including new implementations, upgrades, and enhancements.
Solid grounding in engineering practices and IT processes, including change, release, and incident management.
Experienced in agile project delivery, driving agile ways of working within IT and in collaboration with business teams.
Strong documentation and presentation skills, able to convey complex topics clearly and convincingly to Clever audiences.
Excellent written and spoken English.
