Sr QA/QC Engineer (Civil Engineering)

Role Description The Sr QA/QC Engineer (Civil Engineering) is a full-time, on-site role based in Farakka, responsible for overseeing quality assurance and quality control activities for civil construction projects. The role involves preparing and implementing project-specific quality plans, monitoring construction processes, and ensuring compliance with industry standards, project specifications, and regulatory requirements. The engineer will conduct regular inspections, supervise material testing, review contractor work, and document non-conformities with corrective and preventive actions. Daily responsibilities include coordinating with project managers, site engineers, and subcontractors, conducting internal audits, maintaining QA/QC records, and providing technical guidance to the site team to ensure timely and high-quality project delivery. The role also requires contributing to continuous improvement initiatives, updating quality procedures, and supporting safety and compliance practices at the site.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Quality Control and Inspection skills for civil engineering works, including materials, workmanship, and on-site construction activities.
Candidates should possess solid Quality Assurance and Quality Management skills to develop, implement, and maintain project quality plans, procedures, and documentation.
Candidates should possess Quality Auditing skills to conduct internal and external audits, identify gaps, and recommend corrective and preventive measures.
Candidates should have a degree or diploma in Civil Engineering or a related field, with relevant experience in QA/QC roles in construction or infrastructure projects.
Candidates should demonstrate knowledge of applicable codes and standards, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, and proficiency in documentation and reporting.
Candidates should have effective communication and coordination skills, the ability to lead site quality teams, and a commitment to safety and continuous improvement.
