Investment Director

Role Description The Investment Director is a part-time, remote role responsible for overseeing the company’s investment portfolio in line with Islamic finance and Takaful principles. Day-to-day tasks include developing and implementing investment strategies, monitoring portfolio performance, and analyzing market trends and economic indicators to inform decisions. The role involves assessing new investment opportunities, managing risk, and ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and internal policies. The Investment Director will collaborate with senior leadership, finance, and risk teams to support long-term financial sustainability and capital growth. The position also includes preparing investment reports, presenting recommendations, and maintaining transparent communication with stakeholders.
Qualifications
Strong investment management capabilities, including experience in Investments and Investment Management.
Demonstrated Analytical Skills to evaluate financial data, market conditions, and risk-return profiles.
Proficiency in developing and executing Investment Strategies aligned with organizational and Islamic finance objectives.
Solid foundation in Finance, including knowledge of financial instruments, portfolio construction, and risk management.
Experience with or strong interest in Islamic finance, Takaful, and Sharia-compliant investment frameworks.
Proven track record in leadership or director-level investment roles, preferably in insurance or financial services.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to diverse stakeholders.
Relevant academic background in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field; advanced degrees or professional certifications (e.g., CFA) are an advantage.
Ability to work independently in a remote, part-time setting, manage priorities, and meet deadlines.
