Role Description The Mechanical Engineering Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Abroad. This role is responsible for leading mechanical engineering projects from concept to completion, overseeing design, analysis, and implementation of mechanical systems and components. The manager will supervise and mentor a team of engineers and technicians, allocate resources, review design work, and ensure adherence to technical standards, safety regulations, and project timelines. Day-to-day activities include coordinating with cross-functional teams, preparing technical documentation, monitoring project progress, resolving engineering issues, and optimizing processes for quality and efficiency. The role also involves collaborating with senior leadership on project planning, budgeting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Mechanical Engineering, with experience in mechanical system design and analysis.
Demonstrated Engineering Management capabilities, including planning, resource allocation, and performance oversight.
Proficiency in Project Management, with the ability to manage multiple projects, timelines, and stakeholder expectations.
Proven Team Leadership skills, including mentoring, coaching, and fostering collaboration within engineering teams.
Hands-on experience with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools and related engineering software.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
Knowledge of industry standards, safety regulations, and quality management practices.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with attention to detail.
Effective communication skills for coordinating with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Experience in industrial, manufacturing, or construction environments is an advantage.
