Role Description The Cybersecurity Manager for Canada Opportunities will be a full-time, on-site role based in Canada, supporting Esse India’s technology and data security needs related to immigration and visa consulting services. This role will oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of cybersecurity controls across applications, networks, and information systems used for client data and operational processes. Day-to-day responsibilities include leading vulnerability assessments, monitoring security incidents, coordinating remediation efforts with IT teams, and ensuring compliance with relevant data protection and information security standards. The Cybersecurity Manager will develop and update security policies, conduct regular risk assessments, and provide guidance and training to internal teams on secure practices and incident response. Collaboration with leadership to align cybersecurity strategies with business goals and support secure expansion of Canada-focused services will be an important part of this role.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong expertise in Cybersecurity and Information Security, with experience in designing and implementing security frameworks.
Candidates should possess skills in Network Security, including securing infrastructure, monitoring traffic, and managing firewalls and intrusion detection systems.
Candidates should possess skills in Application Security, including secure development practices, code reviews, and protecting web-based platforms and portals.
Candidates should possess experience in Vulnerability Assessment, including identifying, analyzing, and prioritizing security gaps and coordinating remediation.
Relevant experience in managing security operations, incident response, and risk management in a data-sensitive environment.
Knowledge of international data protection regulations and standards (such as ISO 27001, GDPR equivalents, or Canadian privacy requirements) is beneficial.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH) are an advantage.
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate complex security issues clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and take ownership of security initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
