Role Description The Tableau Developer role is a full-time remote position responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining interactive dashboards and reports in Tableau that support business decision-making. Day-to-day activities include collaborating with stakeholders to understand requirements, translating business needs into data models and visualizations, and optimizing existing dashboards for performance and usability. The Tableau Developer will work with data warehousing and ETL processes to prepare and integrate data from multiple sources, ensure data quality, and maintain documentation for dashboards and data flows. The role also involves performing ad-hoc analysis, troubleshooting data issues, and contributing to best practices in BI development and data visualization across the organization.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong skills in Data Modeling and Data Warehousing for building reliable, scalable BI solutions.
Candidates should possess experience in designing and maintaining Tableau Dashboards and other interactive visualizations.
Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills for interpreting data, identifying trends, and supporting business decisions.
Candidates should possess hands-on experience with Extract Transform Load (ETL) processes and tools for integrating and preparing data.
Proficiency in Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server/Online, including performance optimization and security configuration.
Experience working with SQL and relational databases; familiarity with cloud data platforms such as Azure, Snowflake, or similar is beneficial.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in remote, cross-functional teams.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Experience in other BI tools (e.g., Power BI, QlikView, Domo, or custom BI platforms) and exposure to Python or data science concepts is an advantage.
